SE ACERCA EL CARNAVAL / CARNIVAL IS ABOUT TO COME

Como cada año cuando se acerca Febrero se nota en el ambiente que la fiesta está por llegar. Sí, hoy os hablo del Carnaval cuyo origen parece remontarse a fiestas paganas en honor a Baco.

Cádiz, e incluso La Carolina (Jaén), son dos buenos ejemplos andaluces donde el Carnaval se vive por todo lo alto.

Hoy os muestro varios disfraces que he utilizado a lo largo de mi vida. Algunos de ellos han sido fruto de la imaginación y el esfuerzo de mi padre. Si no recuerdo mal, creo que nunca he visto a mi padre disfrazado, aunque sí que nos ha ayudado muchísimo a confeccionar nuestros disfraces desde pequeños.

As every year, when February is getting closer, there is a feeling of the festivity which is about to come. Yes, today I’m talking about Carnival, the origen of which seems to be related to those pagan parties celebrated to Bacchus honour.

Cádiz, or even La Carolina (Jaén), are two good Andalusian examples where Carnaval is considered a big, big festival.

Today, I’m showing you several contumes that I’ve worn. Some of them have been created thanks to my dad’s effort and imagination. He, who I don’t remeber if he has ever dressed up, has always helped us, me and my brother, to make up our costumes since we were children.

Este fue mi último disfraz. Aquí estábamos en una fiesta de Halloween. El disfraz fue muy sencillo de hacer, pero el resultado creo que bastante bueno.

This was my last costume. Here we were at a Halloween party. My look was very easy, but it was really good in the end.

Este disfraz me encantó. Es mi hermano disfrazado para una fiesta en Noche Buena. Las alitas están hechas con dos perchas unas medias y algodón. Él tiene el pelo así de rizado, así que sólo hizo falta un poco de tinte  que se va con un lavado.

I loved this one. This is my brother for a Christmas Eve party. The small wings are made out of two hungers and a pair of panties and cotton balls. His hair is so curly that we only need to dye it with a removable dye.

Este es en clásico. Simplimente un mimo.

This is a classic one. Just a mime.

Este fue mi estilismo para una fiesta de los 80.

This was my outfit for a 80s party. 

Este es de mis favoritos. La peluca tiene bastante trabajo porque está hecha de papel maché. Me parece que el resultado fue espectacular.

This is one of my favourites. The wig was quite difficult to make because it's made of papier maché. I think it looks great.

Bueno espero que os hayan gustado. Pronto os pondré otra entrada con algunos disfraces de cuando era pequeña. Hay algunos geniales.
